Drew Kirsch directs a playful performance promo for Charlie Puth and Jung Kook of BTS. Now that Korean boyband sensation BTS have gone on hiatus, each of the members are busy working on their own projects, and Jung Kook has partnered with Charlie Puth for one of the first individual releases. Featuring mischevious performances and a series of abstract vignettes, the concept is an explosion of colour and absurdism, and whilst the scenes are interconnected on a surface level, there is not a clear narrative at play here - and that is one of the things that makes it so absorbing. Taking a page out of the K-Pop video playbook, Kirsch has focused on packing as many spectacular visuals as possible into the two and a half minute runtime, creating a frenetic yet captivating project that feels refreshing and unique.
