Taken from the forthcoming new album by the legendary alt singer-songwriter, Bill Callahan's Lonely City is accompanied by an arresting video comprised entirely of photos by the renowned American street photographer Daniel Arnold.

Arnold's work follows in the grand tradition of the greats of 20th century photography, and the work featured in the video - taken from his portfolio from the past 15 years - arguably has echoes of Diane Arbus and Gary Winogrand in its candid depiction of the everyday toughness of life in (mainly) New York City. Set against the characteristically lugubrious tones of Callahan's delivery of the song it makes for a very powerful watch.
