The everyday and the unusual dissolve in atmospheric fashion in MIG's video for top Brazilian indie band Terno Rei.

In the promo for Próxima Parada, MIG - aka Miguel Thomé - creates a nostalgic, ethereal universe, introducing a series of intriguing characters during the course of a dreamlike bus trip.  

Filmed in São Paulo, and beautifully shot on 16mm by DoP Lucas Oliveira, MIG nods to David Lynch and Martin Scorsese in the care and craftsmanship of his images and the way that the charisma of his characters - cast from a mix of Terno Rei bandmembers and actors - lends itself to reinforcing the film's alluring atmosphere.   

It's a superb return to music videos for a director who began his career shooting videos for his own band, has moved on to commercials and short films, including The Three Building Blocks, released in 2021 by NOWNESS.
