Michael Upson directs a visceral account of battling ballerinas for indie outfit Home Counties' suitably kinetic and febrile Uptight.

As the band, doorpersons in a deserted working men's club, observe and perform, the dancers - Gabriella Engdahl and Evie Leigh-Savage - exhibit contrasting styles and mutual animosity, with unedifying yet very watchable results. 

It's Upson's follow-up to the equally impressive Bethnal Green last year. Like that one, this also does a very good job in putting the band ('synth heavy post-punk upstarts' according to Clash), on the map ahead of their debut album, Exactly As It Seems, out in May.
