Cian Ducrot 'Part Of Me' (Live) by SLANE
Promonews - 21st June 2023
Singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot reunites with SLANE with a spine-tingling live video for Part Of Me.
The video captures Ducrot's performance of the song in a single continuous take, starting with him standing alone at the keyboards in a grand space. Then Ducrot leaves the keyboards to explore the building, and sing Part Of Me as orchestra and his regular band play behind giant columns, and members of a choir accompany him from two overlooking balconies.
Following live versions of Hallelujah and I'll Be Waiting, which were captured by the same director (aka Simon Lane) in a disused Victorian swimming pool, this video was shot in an even more evocative location, once again of Victorian origin: Crossness Pumping Station, near Thamesmead. It's a setting of appropriate grandeur to frame the emotion of Ducrot's song.
