Liverpool filmmaker Tommy Husband shines a light upon Bill Nickson, talented purveyor of lo-fi indie bedroom pop, in the charming video for Thoughts On Love.

A singer-songwriter in the style of '90s cult legends Daniel Johnston, J Mascis and Elliott Smith, Nickson is captured in a single-shot solo performance to start with, before the video explodes into a fast-edited mix of on-location moments - including at a petting zoo - felt-tip drawings and Loveheart sweets.

This adds up to sizably more than the sum of its parts, due to Tommy Husband's artful editing and the sheer excellence of the song (which is from Nickson's second EP, now released with the first on vinyl.

The video was shot at various locations in and around Birkenhead, Beeston and Liverpool - and the fun is never greater than when a curious llama at the petting zoo spots the camera...
