Lewis Cater's video for the Family, Emeli Sandé's first release for two years, sees the artist embracing a new look and performanc element to dovetail with what she has described as a “rebirth” for her music.

Emeli enters a London housing estate, before breaking out into a ritual-style dance routine. She is joined by onlookers, with more adding to the group as the video continues. It all ends with Emeli elevated above her circle of fellow dancers, looking into the sky.

"We wanted to create a feeling of spirituality with this video," says Lewis Cater. "It’s about strength, moving forward and rising to the top, no matter what life throws at you."
