Dexter 'I Like Me' by Amitybloc

Amitybloc directs a breezy, easygoing promo for Dexter's I Like Me.
We see the artist perform in the back of a car cruising around London streets, as a jumble of random items begin to fill up the vehicle.
Interacting with the various trinkets and props, we realise each of these have some kind of meaning to the artist, as she reminisces about the past. But ultimately she embraces her present and celebrates the woman she is today.
BENJI GERSHON (AMITYBLOC):
Dexter remains chill... and amongst the chaotic rubble of colour, she rises up.
"Dexter is happy with herself despite drowning in the pressure cooker that is society's expectations. The video approaches this idea in a very literal but fun way. Dexter’s navigating through life, traveling at an unstoppable pace as a mix of fast-fashion landfill and childhood memorabilia begins to fill the room around her.
"It’s the never-ending conflict of when to grow up, when to change and transform to suit the expectations of how to dress and how to behave. Dexter remains chill despite all this, and amongst the chaotic rubble of colour, she rises up.
"All of these pressures and influences are below her, and she’s left to celebrate the freedom of knowing that who she is, is already the version she likes the most."
