Feet 'Peace And Quiet' by Kris R
Rob Ulitski - 26th Apr 2021
North London band Feet take their raucous performance style to a handful of local retail venues, in Kris R's promo for Peace and Quiet.
Shot in a documentary fashion across Muswell Hill and Crouch End - including vintage hi-fi emporium Audiogold - the video has a buzzing, guerilla-style energy to it, with an enjoyable off-the-cuff, DIY aesthetic.
Paired with the group's understated, deadpan performance - as they take swipes at the modern music industry machine throughout the song - it's both great fun, and comes armed with a serious message.
KRIS R:
I’ve always enjoyed shooting quickly, which is just as well...
"In honour of the band’s beloved Muswell Hill and to show appreciation for the unique, long-standing local businesses in the area, we decided to have the band playing in said stores, squashed into aisles surrounded by produce or taking centre stage in front of counters.
"As we expected, creating these live shows in the middle of a working shop - as if it were an ordinary everyday occurrence - was a lot of fun. I’ve always enjoyed shooting quickly, which is just as well as we only had a few hours in each location. Choosing to shoot on a single lens throughout was liberating, allowing us to capture a moment as it happened."
