Beabadoobee 'Care' by Bedroom
The latest Beabadoobee video by Bedroom is all about frontwoman Bea Kristie, captured during lockdown in London performing Care.
With Bea unleashed in numerous set-ups around her domestic isolation, the video displays the young directing duo's adaptability of lockdown filmmaking. Rather than being hampered by the limitations, they have amped up everything, particularly references to the lo-fi early 90s videos such as Pavement and Sonic Youth.
Shot in April over a number of days, filming on 16mm and adding elements of stop motion animation, it's a top-notch example of DIY music video making - with a great edit to boot. From Bea going wild with her guitar to standing in the rain in a reflective manner, the increasingly ramped-up energy showcases Bedroom’s kinetic style and playful camera work. It's an aesthetic which matches perfectly with the artists musical inspiration.
The latest of a growing body of work for Beadoobee, it's also the first of a new series of four videos by the directors for the band.
