HANEN 'Breathe' by Wit Dziki
In what could be best described as a journey of self-discovery, Hanen stars in a range of vastly different environments and aesthetics, in the video for Breathe, shot in the US by Polish director Wit Dziki.
From sitting in the dark, powdered-up in neon colours, to venturing alone topless in a desert, there's no way of knowing what to expect with each new scene, as Hanen takes on new guises. Even the filming varies in style, until it all comes to a halt once the real Hanen is revealed...
"Not your typical urban hip hop video," says Dziki. "We tried to play around with different symbols and meanings. It was a low budget shoot, specially considering the fact, that I am a Polish filmmaker, with no real power in the US. But, somehow, we've made it."
