Lief Vollebekk traverses the Icelandic countryside in Joe Connor's video for Apalachee Plain.

Aesthetically reminiscent of old home movies - this was shot partly on Super 8mm - the black and white visuals are beautifully authentic and rich. Set against moody skies and breathtaking landscapes, Leif delivers an emotional performance surrounded by nature and wild animals, unfiltered and totally at ease in his surroundings.

"Leif had a fever dream where he'd imagined Icelandic horses accompanying this track, so off we went into the mist and rain to find some. I wanted to approach this really photographically, the music and Leif 's lyrics are the centre of this piece and the video was just meant to draw us into that, not detract.

"I wanted to work with Super 8mm because it created this scrapbook, instant feeling to the piece, almost like I was capturing what it felt like to be there, to be in a dream. The result is a beautiful atmosphere with an amazing artist at the centre of it."
