Roosevelt 'Losing Touch' by Luke Bather
Luke Bather, formerly of this parish, directs a bright and bouncy performance video for Roosevelt with a difference: every bandmember in this four-piece band is the same guy.
In fact, Roosevelt is just the one guy, Marius Lauber. But Bather's video reflects the proper indie band sound that he achieves on Losing Touch, from his second album Young Romance.
In fact, Marius is so versatile, he gets to be in the audience too...
"I'm incredibly proud of the hard work that the whole crew put in to pull off this video in such a short space of time. We got the green light on the Tuesday afternoon and had to shoot on the Saturday due to Marius (aka Roosevelt)'s touring schedule. It was a hell of a week.
"I wanted the video to echo the song's ideas of being on tour & away from your friends and family - only really having yourself for company. It can be a fun, rich, colourful and theatrical experience, but a lot of strange anxieties can show up along the way. It was great to collaborate with Marius, Marius, Marius and Marius on this one - they're all really very talented."
