Raleigh Ritchie 'Time In A Tree' by Jacob Anderson
Jacob Anderson (aka Raleigh Ritchie) has directed the video for his own returning single Time In A Tree, with an engaging concept for this soulful ballad - a reflection on his life, during one trip in a lift.
During the length of the video, an anxious Raleigh Ritchie stands in the lift, grimly clutching a bonsai, being joined by other people - who are all representations of himself at different stages of his life, from 1 to 28 years old.
It's beautifully executed in a near one-shot and as becoming a Game Of Thrones alumni, Anderson/Raleigh gives a big performance. He hits notes of pathos, and as we have seen in his videos directed by Shynola, he is not averse to some self-deprecating comedy. Not least when he's joined by himself as the highly strung young actor.
Most importantly there is a lot of heart in the execution too - a poignant reflection of the past.
