Following her video for re:member earlier this year, Icelandic director Thora Hilmars has now directed a follow-up for her countryman, the BAFTA-winning artist/composer/producer Ólafur Arnalds, for unfold.

As Hilmars explains below: "The videos are connected. They both take place in a post-Apocalyptic world and their stories are intertwined. But the atmosphere in each video is vastly different." 

Ólafur Arnalds comments: “This is my breaking out-of-a-shell album. It’s me taking the raw influences that I have from all these different musical genres and not filtering them. It explores the creative process and how one can manipulate that to get out of the circle of expectations and habit.”

"For me Óli’s music is very cinematic and it takes you on a journey of emotions. His songs are powerful, uplifting and sorrowful at the same time and I wanted to reflect that in this video."
