Johnny Hardstaff takes on the fashion documenary and makes it his own, in the latest in The Performers series for Gucci and GQ - with legendary dancer/choreographer Michael Clark as his subject.

Hardstaff follows Clark's progress through Tokyo, where his innovative choreography has attained cult status. And as Clark talks about this background and philosophy, he is also the mannequin for some extravagant Gucci attire.

"What could be more iconic than shooting Michael Clark in Alessandro Michele’s Gucci across Tokyo’s love hotels and bath houses for GQ Magazine?" says Johnny Hardstaff. "We had a ball elevating fashion documentary and taking it somewhere new."
