Justin Timberlake 'Supplies' by Dave Meyers
David Knight - 24th Jan 2018
Justin Timberlake aims to squarely plug into the zeitgeist with Dave Meyers' blockbuster for Supplies, with references to #MeToo, Weinstein, Spacey and Trump, as JT surveys a bank of screens, before embarking on a series of big, visually arresting, increasingly dystopian scenarios involving Timberlake and his love interest, played by Eliza Gonzalez (Baby Driver).
And if the message is coming out a bit confused, or even like JT is trying to have his cake and eating it, the internet will explain everything. Otherwise just enjoy the spectacle. And as the track is a collaboration between JT and Pharrell (who briefly appears) it is distinctly hummable.
