Two young girls pack their bags and head off on an adventure, in Mark Staubach's new video for Beth Ditto.

As he explains below, he was inspired by Beth talking about her best friend growing up and their experiences, to tell his story of two girls who have their reasons for escaping - at least for a while.  

MARK STAUBACH:

"This video grew out of a conversation I had with Beth where she described her best friend growing up.  I feel like most people can relate to this sort of time in their life, so we developed a narrative that pays tribute to the special relationships people have growing up.  Loosely inspired by the film Stand By Me.
 
"Without being too overt about it, we tried to build a backstory about two kids from difficult homes.  One is a tomboy forced into the role of a beauty queen, while the other is growing up in a military home where she is without her father.  When they escape together, they can let it all go and explore who they really are away from prying eyes."
