Kent Hugo's animated landscape for Sälen is littered with surreal, nightmarish 'mistakes' all in the name of aesthetic.

Inspired by the surreal CGI works of people like David Lewandowski and rapidly-growing video phenomenon Cool 3D World, Hugo takes his CG characters and warps them beyond what seems natural, beyond even the surreal and into the realm of horrifying. The only rope that keeps the video from tipping into the realm of true nightmare-laden hell is the incredible colour pallette, which manages to give the whole thing a nonchalantly cool look.
