The Weeknd 'Secrets' by Pedro Martin-Calero
Floating women, crucifixes and brutalism - there's a rich tapestry of imagery in Pedro Martin-Calero's newest clip for The Weeknd.
Martin-Calero's awesome minimalist visual sees The Weeknd and another man vie for the affections of the same woman as they all make their way through a huge, beautiful maze-like building. With deep blood-red decor cutting through the space, a series of silent observers, distorted mirrors and geometric shapes the clip has an almost Kubrickian sense of dread to it. No wonder some excitable commenters are seeing this as some kind of evidence of The Weeknd's affiliation with 'The Illuminati'.
