Elsa & Emilie 'Chains of Promises' by Martine Skogstad
Martine Skogstad has directed Norwegian band Elsa & Emilie's new video for Chains of Promises, which sees young people enhabiting a hot, humid, highly atmospheric space.
Shot in a large, disused warehouse dressed as a makeshift sauna, people mill in, contort in a cathartic dance and observe one another. Martine explained, "We based the concept on those nights where someone invited you to something where you know you would feel a bit out of place or alienated - you’re not sure if you're even welcome or if you want to go. You know, the stuff that’s in your head - but you still go and stay way too long."
