The Shins 'Name For You (Flipped)' by Zaiba Jabbar
David Knight - 23rd Mar 2017
Songs from The Shins' new album Heartworms have been 'flipped' - in other words, given alternate treatments to the ones found on the album. And Zaiba Jabbar has made the video for the flipped version of lead-off single Name For You with Trace Lysette, charismatic transgender star of Amazon's award-winning series Transparent.
Trace's uninhibited antics in LA are kinetically edited and repeated, and then projected over an angst-ridden by Shins' James Mercer - which just makes it more sexy.

"The world has so many names for women and thus the song has real power. We wanted to create a video that celebrated identity regardless of gender. I was very proud to be part of this awesome message."
