Nearly four years after gaining widespread acclaim (and disbelief) by building every word of the track Magnolia out of cardboard boxes, LAMAR+NIK are back with Lushlife, and delivering another doozy.

This one for Totally Mutual Feeling is mind-bending in a different yet still distinctly LAMAR+NIK way. It's a single-take performance in a black room filled with mirrors and lights, with the floating camera revealing various tricks of perspective in the arrangement of the room. It's all in-camera (unlike those C4 idents that work in a similar way) and with its evident craft and DIY ethic it bowls you over and confuses you in the best possible way. A brilliantly watchable, yet achingly short performance piece.
