Blaenavon 'I Will Be The World' by Claes Nordwall
David Knight - 28th Apr 2016
Claes Nordwall follows up his recent video for Parquet Courts' Berlin Got Blurry with this retro-rural wigout from psychedelic rock trio Blaenavon.
It was shot in the band's home village of Liphook, Hampshire – the lake scene was filmed in a secret Buddhist sanctuary – and framed to look like a romantic 18th century painting that was slightly alive, infused with Tarkovsky-like slow zooms.Â
And it features a dog called Wilf, who apparently was a joy to work with.Â
