Karpe Diem 'Hus/Hotell/Slott Brenner' by Stian Andersen
Stian Andersen won the best video prize at the Nordic Music Video Awards last year, for his video for Röyksopp ft Robyn's Monument (Inevitable End version), and his new video for fellow Norwegian artists Karpe Diem is further demonstration of how Andersen is now translating his formidable skill as a photographer, who has shot over 50 album covers, into directing.
Using black and white, and deep contrast, Andersen creates stunning, otherworldly imagery, that can trick the eye to think they are created by visual effects. He captures the viccisitudes of young love in his own highly imaginative way. Very cool indeed.
