Here's an expressive piece of contemporary dance for Deep Routed's Solace directed by Sasha Denny, exploring one women's feelings of depression and isolation from the world.

The piece is choreographed and performed by Magdalena Malone, who explains: "Depression isn't pretty, controlled or technical, and neither is this choreography. It is random, at times uncomfortable.”

Sasha Denny adds: “The stage is a metaphor for her mind and the dance depicts her emotions."
