Young Empires 'The Gates' by Amos LeBlanc
Beginning with a shot of the celebrated underwater 'Christ Of The Depths' statue in Florida – then given an added Michaelangelo-like resonance – Amos LeBlanc's video for Young Empires' The Gates is a series of spectacular vignettes on the nature of devotion to Christianity.
The video was filmed over five weeks across several American states - including Lake Mead in Nevada, an oil field in Bakersfield, California, and a ranch just outside Austin, Texas – and also at churches in Toronto, Canada. All beautifully shot by Christopher Lew. But its the featured characters in these places that deliver the message about how faith helps them cope with the struggle of their lives.
