Hurts 'Some Kind Of Heaven' by Chino Moya
David Knight - 1st July 2015
Chino Moya channels various influences - from PT Anderson's The Master to (arguably) The Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers – in his very stylish and deeply enigmatic video for Hurts' Some Kind Of Heaven.
Set in a beautifully recreated 1950s America - and actually shot in Spain – Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft is welcomed into a party of suspiciously friendly individuals who could be part of a cult - emphasised by intercut shots of Hutchcraft running away from a chasing car.
But even that is not all it seems, as Moya toys with the viewers expectations - and then throws in a final curveball for good measure.
