All Tvvins 'Too Young' by Brendan Canty
They have become known for their intensely dramatic work, like the video for Hozier's Take Me To Church, but Brendan Canty and co-director Conal Thomson (aka Feel Good Lost) have taken a very different approach for Dublin-duo All Tvvins' track Too Young. It's an elaborate collage of colour, texture, footage of the band performing, merged with shots of tropical paradise.
Starting with waves, sky and palm trees during the swaggering, bass-heavy beginning of the song, it progresses into heavy painterly textures when the music swells. And the strength of the piece comed from the ease and fluidity of the transitions which perfectly mirroring the energy in the song, the visuals take on different forms as the music progresses.
FEED GOOD LOST:
"For this video we wanted to capture an abstract montage of the subtly beautiful moments of summer washing over each other through waves of warm and inviting sunbaked colours.
"[We were] inspired by that moment when you close your eyes in the passenger seat of a car on a sunny day, with the wind sweeping through your hair and the sun flickering at you through the trees dipping your eyelids quickly from red to black, red to black, red to black. We wanted to push these influences into a trippy and abstract place. We started out making videos like this so it was so nice to go back to our roots and expand on what we used to do."
