Here's a lovely new video for singer-producer Marie-Helene L. Delorme aka Foxtrott's poppy track Driven directed by Kevin Calero. Following his video for Cœur De Pirate's Oublie-Moi (Carry On) he has honed in his winning formula of directing excellent choreography set in stunning locations.

This video captures a perfect marriage of expressive movement, colour and energy, employing the powerful combination of excellent dancers Chad Conception, Jossua Collin and talented choreographer Wynn Holmes. It was shot over two days in the outskirts of Toronto, in the Cheltenham Badlands and The Beach. And as Kevin explains below he was working directly to bring Foxtrott's inspirations for the song to life. 

KEVIN CALERO:

"Foxtrott approached me after seeing some of my more dance-oriented projects. She wrote the song envisioning Pantsula-like dancing and landscapes straight out of a Richard Mosse infrared photograph. I was more than happy to help her bring her original vision to life!

"The song is about a quest for freedom so we shot all indoor/studio performances really tight/closed up to contrast the lush open spaces. It was important for that feeling of freedom to transpire as the boys danced in the Badlands and on the beach despite being smaller in the frame.

"We worked very closely with the choreography on creating a visually minimal video that would focus on highlighting all individual sounds in the song. It's sonic arc is split in three, and it was important for the viewer to really feel these transitions. Wynn Holmes did an incredible job at creating a new movement vocabulary and both dancers executed perfectly after two short rehearsals."
