Flight Brigade 'Housefire' by Seth Baines & Pascal Hughes
Cat Velez - 1st Apr 2015
Folk-pop band Flight Brigade's new video for Housefire, by Seth Baines and Pascal Hughes, sets husband-and-wife band members Oliver and Miriam Baines in the depths of Welsh countryside, to tell the story of a girl who runs from the haunting presence of her past.
It's imaginatively shot, with spectacular aerial camerawork, and time-lapse photography of Oliver, Miriam and other members of the band who make up the cast of this visualisation of an impressively anthemic song.
It also follows Flight Brigade's impressive stop-motion animated video for Sirens (directed by Simon Roberts), set in an imaginary forest, and visual and thematic parallels can be noticed between the videos: forebidding tone, expansive settings, aerial shots, and the angst-ridden characters, dwarfed by their surroundings, attempting to run away...
