After Rain marks the fourth collaboration between Paul J Riley and Director Douglas (aka Douglas Thomson), shot in Barcelona and featuring Paul and his co-star Yaourou Konaté in a humourously explosive relationship.  

Douglas says that the chemistry grew between Paul and Yaourou while on set and throughout the shoot unexpected encounters occurred in the streets of Barcelona, which made the filming an enjoyable and memorable experience. 

The flower scene was filmed in las Ramblas, and although this was the first acting role for David, who played the flower seller, he was mobbed by a group of young (female) Italian tourists firmly convinced that he was a big film star, so filming had to be interrupted so he could sign autographs and take photos with his “new” loyal fans...
