Cheatahs 'Controller' by Federico Urdaneta
The lovely idea firing Federico Urdaneta's video for Cheatahs' Controller is the deeply intellectual conversation between two young schoolgirl friends as they do normal early-teenage stuff. It's a philosophical discussion on the meaning of life, and likelihood of the afterlife, delivered via subtitles in well-rounded phrases, as they ponder gravestones, and play video games and the disco dance machine at the local amusement arcade.
And it's a conceit, that 12 year old girls think brilliantly about big issues of life and death, that is almost possible to believe. It would never work with boys.
