Eminem ft Nate Ruess 'Headlights' by Spike Lee
Luke Tierney - 12th May 2014
This was released on Mother's Day in the USA – and Deborah R. Nelson-Mathers couldn't have asked for a better gift. Although there are obviously still issues between the two this first public step is positive, perfect for Eminem's original fans who may now be mums themselves.
Bringing Spike Lee back for his first promo since Michael Jackson's This Is It is huge. Like with Michael's promo, the Academy-Award nominated director focuses on the birthplace of the artist, Eminem's Detroit, tying emotion to location. Class comes through each shot, with a touch of intrigue through Spike's unvarnished POV-of-Mom shooting.
