YYZ 'I Wanna Be With You' (Lyric Video) by Diana McNally

Canadian band YYZ - featuring Ali McNally, former music video rep at Soup Factory in London - have now just released a lyric video for their new single I Wanna Be With You, created by Ali's artist sister Diana, and featuring a deadpan humour unusual in most lyric videos - and paying homage to back-in-the-day computer games, by feautring a bitmap version of Ali, mouthing the words to the song...
Says Ali: "Most lyric videos are admittedly lame, but my sister Diana and I brainstormed the idea that we'd like to, in keeping with the retro vibe of the track, play homage to the PC computer games of our (misspent) youth: in particular Sierra games such as Leisure Suit Larry.
"Using that as a reference point, my sister painstakingly rendered a singing, blinking bitmap version of me, which was then animated by Universal's Telma Costa. The result is something we are all very proud of, and I think it raises the bar for the relatively new phenomenon of lyric videos. Also it fits in wonderfully with the "official" video we will be shooting soon."
