Rizzle Kicks 'Lost Generation' by Jamie Thraves
Jamie Thraves expertly translates the lyrics about the pressures of modern living in Rizzle Kicks' Lost Generation, with a lighthearted and satirical video about modern life today for British kids - and the duo' own encounter with fame. It's perfectly suited to their charming, comedy-friendly persona - but there's a serious side to this too.
You can't tell from watching the video, but Rizzle Kicks, Jamie Thraves and his production company HSI London, worked with GoThinkBig - the website that helps young people get a foot on the career ladder - and from thousands of applications gave over 60 young people the opportunity to gain work experience on a big music video shoot (the Behind The Scenes video is coming here soon).
And kudos too, to O2, who sponsored the project. And for a video that also takes aim at the desocializing effect of our obsession with mobile phones...
Jamie Thraves: “I had great fun making this. It was part of a fantastic scheme called GoThinkBig, a work placement strategy that invited young people who want to get into the industry to be part of the film crew.
"All crew members, actors, dancers, editors, special effects folk etc. had someone shadow them. It was a really great experience."
