Colour The Atlas 'Paper Wings' by Monte
Jimmy Brown - 11th July 2013
Monte addresses racism in post-war Britain as a young woman and man go on a bike ride in his promo for Colour The Atlas' rousing ballad Paper Wings.
Shot on a tiny budget, Monte juxtaposes the beautiful British countryside with some ugly scenes all perfectly captured by DP Stephen Price.
Monte:
"The story was inspired from the timeless and beautiful surroundings of the British countryside. I wanted to utilize these locations and depict a story from post-Second World War Britain.
"I had the pleasure of finding new and emerging actors to drive this story further. Not forgetting the excellent DOP work of Stephen Price at Love high Speed.
"Overall we had a good vibe from all corners, and thankfully the heavens didn't open on us as the forecast suggested. But a big credit goes to the small crew of skilled individuals that raised the value of this film."
