David Wilson's video for Do I Wanna Know, the lead-off song from the eagerly anticipated new Arctic Monkeys album is quite a departure for a band with a track record of being viscerally present in their own vids.

Firstly it's animation, and secondly for a while its very minimal indeed. But then things liven up big time, as the sexy comic book style animation takes over. 

The sound wave animation focusses attention on Alex Turner's lyric-writing virtuosity, before developing into the flowing, stream-of-consciousness style that David has brought to lots of his animation - from the looped visuals of his VJ sets, to the animation sequence in his last video for Tame Impala...
