Maribou State ft Holly Walker 'Tongue' by Samuel Hurlock & Joe Beverley
Jimmy Brown - 5th June 2013
A young woman finds herself at the centre of a bizarre initiation into a world devoid of social boundaries in Samuel Hurlock and Joe Beverley's strange and watchable promo for Maribou State's Tongue.
"The idea came from something we read about on the symbolism of deer. It is said that if a deer crosses your path, it is a sign that you should take a new journey, try a new experience or cross boundaries you might not feel comfortable with" explains Sam.
"This then got us thinking about those nights where you are introduced to a new group of friends and things get a bit out of hand, but by the end of the night you're as close as if you've known each other for years.
"We just took that to a bit more of an extreme I guess. I'm not going to lie, after the 1st day of shooting, we didn't really know what we had filmed, except it was pretty fucking weird".
