The Danger Mouse-produced eighth studio album of odd-rockers (and strangely punctuated) Portugal. The Man comes with an aptly bizarre bout of oddness courtesy of directing duo That Go. Half the team – Noel Paul – has been working with Bat for Lashes for three videos off her last record, but here is reunited with Stefan Moore. There’s duvet huddling, ultraviolet symbolism, goats and a disco limousine. Nothing out of the ordinary then…

“We wanted the video to feel like it could be in any suburban environment in the US so we shot in Bridgewater and Linden, both cities in New Jersey. The shoot was fun and low-stress, partially because we were lucky to get to work with a bunch of our friends on this. Without them it wouldn’t have been possible or nearly as fun.

“Our intrepid grip, Nicky Dollars, volunteered with godlike enthusiasm to strip down in the 40 degree weather, so he gets a special thanks as well.”
