Matt Corby 'Brother' by The Blind Club

The Blind Club – the music division of Leeds-based production outfit Left Eye Blind – have blazed a trail with their own brand of music video in the past couple of years. By giving live performance the cinematic resonance of a pop promo, they are pioneers of the ‘live music video’, and as such they’ve worked with an impressive slate of artists in the past twelve months, for artists of all stripes – from The Vaccines and The Enemy to Rae Morris and Susan Boyle.
Now The Blind Club have worked their magic with Australian singer-songwriter Matt Corby, capturing an intimate performance shot on location at Mastership Wrights House on the bank of the Thames in Greenwich, London.
“The audio you hear is a single live performance from the shoot, wonderfully captured by our in-house sound engineer Pete Wright,” explains TBC’s James Rhodes. “Not all of the camera angles are strictly ‘live’ of course – there’s a little cheating going on there – but our one camera approach enables us to create a much more relaxed and intimate atmosphere with the artists, similar to that of the set of a feature or drama.”
