Cowbell 'Tallulah" by WhiteWolf
Directing partners WhiteWolf (Michael O'Brien and Bart Baker) return to the soundtrack of Cowbell for their fourth music video 'Tallulah'. They present three characters who seem compelled to run as fast as possible into the centre of the forest... Shot on a micro-budget, the whole affair looks excellent and WhiteWolf picked an wonderful location for their ambiguous action.
"We have already produced and directed two videos for the band Cowbell," says Michael. "For their latest single 'Tallulah' we wanted to do something a little different. We wanted to move away from performance videos and literal representations and make something beautiful that hopefully leaves the viewer asking some questions.
"The video was made on a budget of £600 so we had to do a lot of begging, borrowing and (nearly) stealing. Through a friend of a friend we found this incredible location with a lake in the middle of the woods. To us it felt like we'd stumbled across a tiny patch of America's Deep South in the heart of Norfolk! We had to come up with some clever lo-fi shooting techniques during the day including rigging the camera to the front of a very unstable rowing boat for the lake tracking shots and tieing the DOP into the back of a buggy for the running shots!"
