Storm Queen 'Look Right Through' by Nils Clauss and Neil Dowling

David Knight - 5th Jan 2012

They're based in Seoul, Korea, but directing duo Neil Dowling and Nils Clauss of CONTENTed Films headed for Oslo to make this video for Storm Queen's Look Right Through - the charming, wonderfully-acted story of an unlikely pair of outsiders - an ageing flower seller and a prostitute - who team up against a hostile world, and enact a little bit of revenge on The Man.

Having made the video for Röyksopp's Senior Living - a winner of the band's music video competition on Genero.tv last year, and subsequently shown at BUG - Nils and Neil are building a reputation for charming, off-beat, character-driven comedy.

"The feeling we got from the song was that it's about feeling invisible, not being noticed by the woman you desire or by people in general," they explain.

"With that in mind we made our central characters outsider figures but even if it's quite melancholic there is also a good vibe running through the song so we wanted to let the characters escape their reality and taste a better life, even if it's only for a short time."
