Francobollo 'I Found A Bike Today' by Sam Bailey
David Knight - 28th Oct 2011
Featuring scenes of a sexual nature, involving a bicycle... you have been warned. I Found A Bike Today is taken from the upcoming debut release of Francobollo titled 'Harpholma', released digitally on the 14th November through eAR Music. Sam Bailey on making the video for Francobollo's I Found A Bike Today "Adeel, a friend of the band, was key in devising the concept of the video and keeping the humour as immediate as possible. The song is about Simon's (Nilsson, vocalist) experience of finding a bike one day back home in Sweden. So we wanted to start as obviously as that and see where Adeel's relationship with the bike would lead. His natural anarchic and clownlike nature took us to some pretty weird places as you can see. "We headed out with Adeel and a camera and the idea of the scenes and shot loads of improvised scenes with friends, actors and members of the public. This is where Adeel is most at home with performing, when he has the space to be as cheeky as possible. "Directing it was a pleasure, since it was more like playing with a friend for a few days rather than making a more organised film. Having spent all of our money on our record coming out soon we were working on a measly budget, which amounted to 60p for the Mini Cheddars in the end."
