Iris by Barnaby Roper

Iris by Barnaby Roper

David Knight - 12th Nov 2010

Following his SHOWStudio-commissioned film featuring Eniko, Barnaby Roper has a new fashion extravaganza, dissecting some of the season's most devastating looks (it says here) in Iris - starring supermodel Iris Strubegger. More importantly, its a brilliant job in cut and paste VFX, which combines Barnaby's photography with his filmmaking in a very compelling way.

"All of my fashion films are named after the model," says Barnaby. "I'm interested in showing these people, letting the viewer into the model. You never hear a model talk." As for the amazing screen-split edit, by Nathan Brown, Barnaby says: "It's the rhythm of the edit that's the key to the film, the key to all films."
