Already a major hit online, Nick Bartleet's third outing with McLean finds the singer cast into outer space in this lavish 2001-inspired promo.

"A third video for the same artist was always going to be tricky," Nick explains. "We had to retain some of the qualities we had established with the previous videos, but take it to the next level. Establishing the artist as some what of a superhero had worked very well for us and we thought it was a nice idea to continue in this vein. I have always wanted to make a 2001: A Space Odyssey-inspired music video. It is one of my favourite films and I am deeply in love with it's art direction and cinematography.

"We had a two week set build prior to the shoot where I worked closely with two carpenters to build the sets. We had to import much of McLean's styling from the US while I designed several pieces which were then custom made to create a unique retro-futuristic look that would tie in with the rest of the design, while looking great on McLean.

With over 250,000 his on Youtube in 3 days, people are certainly watching.
