Just one day to go before the 2009 UK Music Video Awards, the big event of the year for British music videos. Doors open at the ODEON West End in Leicester Square at 7.30pm and the show begins shortly afterwards, when host Adam Buxton, despite currently having his arm in a sling due to an elbow injury, will have some new surprises up his sleeve (the one not in a sling) before presenting the 20-plus awards up for grabs. The aftershow at Orchid in nearby Piccadilly will begin as soon as the final MVA award of the night, for Video of the Year, is announced, with cocktails and party food served, and the Queens of Noize on the decks from 11pm. Other DJs include Charlie Marbles (AKA Charlie Caselton of Cut + Run), Tom Rickey (BEAM TV) and Dorion Quest (The Mill). Nearly all the videos nominated for the 2009 UK MVAs can be watched right now at MUZU TV - sponsors of the MVAs' Best International Video award - on a special UK MVAs channel on the music video website.
