Synesthesia by Terri Timely
Synesthesia is "a neurologically based phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway."
In other words, it's "a condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color."
And it's also the new short by Ian Kibbey and Corey Creasey, aka Terri Timely - fresh from their triumph with St Vincent's Actor Out Of Work - which is already a big hit on all fine and discriminating blogs. One of which describes it as "just short of brilliant". By which they surely mean: "it's brilliant".
It's also totally Timely. As ever it's superbly cast, and has that distinctive, beautifully art directed, colour-saturated look. Or is that sound-saturated...
And in case you're wondering, the subtitles are wrong - just to mess with your head a bit more (if you happen to know Cantonese) before the loudspeaker madness happens...
