David Knight - 1st May 2009

Fresh from his data-moshing video for Kanye West, Nabil Elderkin explores the possibilities of video distortion and manipulation further for Mr Hudson's vocoderized, Kanye-produced, got-to-be- massive There Will Be Tears.

Australian-born, LA-based Nabil has shot album covers and directed videos for the likes of Common, Will.I.am, John Legend and Kanye. But here he's collaborated with British-based motion graphic artists Weirdcore, who make live visuals for Aphex Twin & Hecker, M.I.A. and others, and perform at Sonar and Optronica.

Result: hypnotic, groundbreaking, bloody excellent video.
