The Enemy’s No Time For Tears by Rankin & Chris
David Knight - 23rd Mar 2009
The Enemy's latest anthem is stadium-size expansive, but Rankin & Chris Cottam have gone the other way - encasing the band in a box, where they have to face waves of well hard, good old British hate - plus the odd moment of adulation.
A thoughtful concept to reflect the song's stoic, 'take it like a man' theme, and an excellent team supporting R&C makes it work - including Denzil Armour-Brown's cinematography, Gareth McEwan's editing, Dan Betteridge's box, and the legendary Sue Hiller producing.
